Simultaneous Recovery of Struvite and Irrigation Water for Agricultural Purposes Obtained from Dewatering Liquor through Electrodialysis

چکیده

Wastewater contains resources, which can be recovered for secondary use if treated properly. Besides research in zero liquid discharge solutions, the aim of study was a simultaneous recovery products from wastewater treatment plant’s dewatering liquor. To specific, we investigated struvite and irrigation water using electrodialysis (ED) laboratory experiments. Two were obtained ED—concentrate diluate. The concentrate precipitated to obtain struvite. On average, 11 g wet precipitate (including 17.58% dry solids) 1 L concentrate. Crystal phases confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), with showing 94–97% struvite, while remaining 3–6% identified as hazenite. average yield crystal 1.76 g. Both hazenite may further used fertilizer. Next, suggest second ED product, diluate, it meets requirements. Attention paid concentrations dissolved solids (DS) decreased an 93% compared input values In line observed Czech or EU standards indicators, say that diluate agriculture, namely (Category I—water suitable irrigation).

Deficit irrigation for reducing agricultural water use.

At present and more so in the future, irrigated agriculture will take place under water scarcity. Insufficient water supply for irrigation will be the norm rather than the exception, and irrigation management will shift from emphasizing production per unit area towards maximizing the production per unit of water consumed, the water productivity. To cope with scarce supplies, deficit irrigation,...

Hydrochemical assessment of Chehelchai river water, Golestan province for drinking and agricultural purposes

Background and Objective: Surface water is usually highly variable in chemical composition due to contact with different geological formationsand other surface and groundwater resources.  Knowledge on water quality and the impact of human activities are particularly important for sustainable management and planning of water resources. The aim of this study was to investigate the physicochemical...

Reimagining cost recovery in Pakistan's irrigation system through willingness-to-pay estimates for irrigation water from a discrete choice experiment

It is widely argued that farmers are unwilling to pay adequate fees for surface water irrigation to recover the costs associated with maintenance and improvement of delivery systems. In this paper, we use a discrete choice experiment to study farmer preferences for irrigation characteristics along two branch canals in Punjab Province in eastern Pakistan. We find that farmers are generally willi...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Identifying Irrigation Strategies for Improved Agricultural Water Productivity in Irrigated Maize Production through Crop Simulation Modelling

Identifying irrigation strategies that improve agricultural water use efficiency (WUE) have a pivotal role to play in sustainable water development. In this study, the AquaCrop model was used to examine the impact of different irrigation scheduling options on yields to identify viable strategies to enhance WUE for irrigated maize. Two scheduling scenarios at water application depths ranging fro...
